It's a busy life

Hello out there blog world. It's me, Pauine. I know it's been a while. Life has kind of gotten away from me. In my last post, we were waiting for the arrival of our baby. Well, he came! All 10 lbs of him!

Marek Russel McKone arrived February 11, 2014 at 12:56pm after 4 hours of labor. Weighing in at 10 lbs 3 oz and 21.5"

He has been a great baby! He is very happy and quite content. We are very blessed.

April found us moving off the acreage we were housesitting into our new home! Again, feeling so blessed to have a space of our own in a great neighbourhood. 

Neila is growing into such a big girl with an even bigger personality.

She loves being a big sister; telling me when Marek is crying and that I should get him his soother, or that he's hungry. Baabaa has taken on a new roll of her baby. She changes his diaper, tries to nurse him (albeit through her belly button), burps him, and rocks him to sleep. She likes helping me cook supper, still gets on my case about "mess!" and loves going to the park, and swimming.

I am truly blessed by these two!

Quinn continues to travel lots for work. His adventures this year have taken him from Nanaimo and Campbell River to Halifax and Moncton, Fort McMurray to Surrey, Regina and Saskatoon and everywhere in between, including Phoenix and Las Vegas. He loves his work although it's hard having him gone from home so much.

We are excited about summer holidays starting on Friday, getting to spend some quality time together as a family.
